Privacy Policy

1. Summary
We collect as little as we can. Our applications run on your device, your content stays with you, we do not sell personal data, we do not use your content to train models, and we do not run advertising or third-party tracking on this website.
2. Who we are
Sonasi AI Studio is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at support@sonasi.app for any privacy question or request.
3. Data you give us
If you write to support, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. If you create an optional account for sync, we store your email address and authentication data. We do not ask for more than that.
4. Data we receive from Apple
When you buy an application or a subscription, Apple processes the payment and tells us the purchase status so we can unlock features. We do not receive your payment card details, full name or billing address from Apple.
5. Diagnostic data
With your permission, applications can send anonymous crash reports and basic technical data such as app version, operating system version and device model. This data carries no identifier that we can link back to you, and you can turn it off in the application settings.
6. Your content
Recordings, transcripts, documents, notes and settings are stored on your device. We have no access to them. Local AI models process this content entirely offline; nothing about that processing reaches us.
7. Cloud processing, when you choose it
Some applications offer an optional cloud mode for higher accuracy. In that mode the relevant content is sent over an encrypted connection, processed, and deleted from our servers immediately after the result is returned. It is never stored for training, analysis or any other purpose.
8. Your own AI provider
If you connect an external provider with your own API key, the key is stored in the Apple Keychain on your device and requests go straight from your device to that provider. We never see the key or the content of those requests. The provider's own privacy policy governs what happens on their side.
9. Sync
Sync between your Apple devices uses your own iCloud account, so the data is stored under your Apple Account and covered by Apple's privacy policy. If an application offers Sonasi-hosted sync, the payload is encrypted on your device before upload and we cannot read it.
10. This website
This website has no advertising, no third-party analytics and no tracking cookies. It stores your language and appearance preference in your browser's local storage so the site remembers them. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting, for a short period.
11. Why we may process data, and on what legal basis
We process data to provide the product and features you asked for (performance of a contract), to answer support requests and keep our services secure and working (legitimate interests), and, where we ask for it, on the basis of your consent, for example for diagnostics. We do not profile users and take no automated decisions with legal effects.
12. Who we share data with
We share data only with providers who help us operate: Apple for distribution, payments and iCloud; our email and hosting providers; and, where you enable cloud processing, the speech or model infrastructure needed for that feature. They act on our instructions and may not use the data for their own purposes. We may disclose data if the law requires it or to protect rights and safety.
13. International transfers
Some of our providers operate outside your country. Where personal data is transferred out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism.
14. Retention
Cloud-processed audio and text are deleted immediately after processing. Support correspondence is kept for up to two years. Account data is deleted within 30 days of you closing your account. Server logs are kept for up to 30 days. We keep purchase records for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
15. Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests or withdraw consent at any time. Write to support@sonasi.app; we answer within 30 days and never charge for a first request. Residents of California may ask what categories of personal information we collect and request deletion; we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA.
16. Complaints
If you think we have handled your data badly, tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
17. Children
Our applications are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.
18. Security
Data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Content processed in the cloud is encrypted in transit and held only in memory for the time it takes to process. Access to our systems is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we will notify you and the competent authority if a breach affects your data and the law requires it.
19. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update this page and the effective date above, and we will announce material changes in the application before they take effect.
